I. Basic Profile

A. Name: Renee Y. Cloutier (Y=Yvette) (rehn-AY [EE-veht] cloh-TEE-yay)

B. Nicknames: As a terrifying master of spiritual powers, Renee has achieved almost mythical status in the primitive tribes that surround her territory. She is known as everything from “the Great Malumbi,” to, “The d*mn b**** in the mountains who ate the children.”

C. Species: Vulpes Lycapolex (Hoary Fox [Silver fox])

D. Gender: Female

E. Age: 19

F. General size: Renee is a very diminutive figure. She does her best to minimize her size just out of habit; if one is trying to avoid detection, as she often is when hunting, the smaller you are, the better.

G. Physical appearance/attire:
~1. Summary: Renee is a grey fox, whose long tail is striped with teal manifestations of her spiritual power. For clothing, she wears a filthy, ragged purple sweater over an equally decayed aqua-marine T-Shirt, as well as a deeply-worn pair of blue jeans. Both are remnants from herlong-lost child-hood of innocence in the village.Renee's body is long and lean, strong and flexible from a long, hard existence in the wilderness. She is capable of very strong, precise movement. She can run like the wind, and slip between attacks like water.

Ironically, Renee wears her hair long, something that a spy, or anyone else trying to be stealthy, should NEVER do. However, it doesn’t seem to get in her way, and as something close to an, albeit powerful, animal she's never had the idea of cutting it.

~~a. Clothing: Renee wears a torn, ragged purple sweater covering a teal shirt in similar condition, as well as an equally worn pair of jeans.
~~b. Fur: Renee’s silver fur is often unkempt because of her outdoor life. Throughout her body, there are strange aquamarine markings… however, because of her clothing, these are only visible around her tail. Depending on how recently she has met with a victim, there are often blood-stains to be found on her pelage.
~~c. Foot-wear: None

H. IQ: Renee is a highly skilled hunter, and manipulates her powers precisely and with competence. She is a martial genius, and a master of the hunt. However, she has never been around other people much, and as such, her social skills and speech have deteriorated to sub-average levels. As far her overall ability to learn goes, she is very shrewd.

I. Known Relatives: Renee’s only known relative is her mother, Yvette, who died shortly after child birth. Her father, and any other relatives are, as yet, mysteries.

J. Birth-date: April 23, 1988

K. Birth-place: In a forgotten village of native foxes high in the peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

L. History: Renee was born to her single mother, Yvette, the Spiritualist of a small tribe of Native American foxes, who led a secluded existence in the peaks of the Rocky Mountains,

Unfortunately, the father of young Renee was never determined, and her mother died soon after child-birth, leaving her, like so many others in this situation, an orphan (She was named by the French priest who baptized her). The tribe had few provisions and less care for those unfortunates such as her, and so she was forced to grow up, the lowest in an already impoverished, inebriated society. She begged from drunken gamblers, and stole from emaciated hunters. In short, she was the worm of a colony of old and dieing insects.

However, few forgot that she descended from the highest notch in their society, and many believed that she had been granted power from this once high station... a suspicion that was not long in confirming itself. When she was ten, Renee began to use her powers, there for the entire village to see. It was almost like watching a baby learning to walk. She would create stilted illusions to torment some passing bear, or summon some insignificant spirit to fetch an apple from a tree. However, she quickly grew, and with her, did her powers. She began to use her gift in whatever way most facilitated her, even if that meant using it on her own people. It got to a point, that all avoided her, and there was no sight more feared than the glare of her activated eyes.

As is to be expected, when the people of this backward, long forgotten tribe were presented with something they feared, they got rid of it. At the age of fifteen, Renee was banished from her home tribe, and everything she had ever known. Surprisingly, she handled this as she handled nearly everything: With a cool confidence in herself, and a silent disdain for those who she left behind.

Renee had been taught many things during her short stay with the natives; not the least of which was the art of stealth and the practice of hunting. With her spirits as dogs, and her psychic powers as arrows, she managed to subsist in the alpine American forest… but that’s all she did, subsist. There was no purpose to her life. No one depended on her, no one cared about her, no one needed her. She was deprived of two of the most central needs of living things: importance and society. As a result, she grew even darker, and more cynical. She became determined that she was the only person that mattered to her, and that her sole purpose in life was survival and luxury. Everyone and everything else were merely tools in the completion of this goal.

After a time, Renee found an often used path to the summit of her mountain (called Tachina), upon which between 10 and 20 hikers tread daily. She set herself up here, and picked off the weak, fatty sight-seers, devouring their full, filling bodies. Sometimes, she found the contents of their backpacks to include heavenly deserts, whose tastes were far greater than any fruit she had yet experienced. As a result, Renee stopped hunting altogether, and focused entirely on this trap she had set. It did not take the authorities long to realize that there was some ferocious animal on the mountain, and so she was soon met with animal control. Unfortunately, they got more than they bargained for, and soon found themselves in the same place as her victims.

In time, Tachina got the reputation for harboring a terrible, almost mythical monster, whom not even the military could exterminate. Traffic to the mountain ceased, but Renee’s food supply did not. Heroes, renowned hunters, and fools seeking fame and wealth often came to the mountain, determined to leave with her head. None who ever entered the forest that covered this mountain ever came out again.

Now, she leads a mysterious existence, occasionally journeying from her mountain to seek fuller hunting grounds. Everywhere she goes, however, is quickly burdened with the reputation of harbouring a terrible monster. She specifically seeks out great heros, whose powers feed the spirits within her as meat feeds her body. As time goes on, her powers grow steadily stronger, and her aims murkier. It would seem that she is developing some plan of revenge that goes much deeper than simply surviving off the carcasses of inferior creatures…

II. Personality

A. Goal[s]: Renee’s primary purpose in life is to eat as much as possible, and to absorb power from powerful heroes. However, it would seem that there is a darker side to her, which yearns for revenge against those who dared to cast her from society. Indeed, the spirits are not mindless either, and they have their own, mysterious agenda…

B. Likes:
~1. Children: Few things are as tender and delicious to Renee’s blood-thirsty appetite as the young creature. They are delicacies which she savors with relish.
~2. Fat: The energy boost which Renee receives by devouring an obese animal is incomparable. Her incredible metabolism is given a jump-start by a monumental meal of soft, fatty, flesh…
~3. Females: Creatures of the feminine persuasion possess much softer flesh than their male counterparts, as well as weaker muscles, and generally more tender bodies. This makes them absolute delicacies to Renee’s taste.
~4. Jewelry: For unknown reasons, Renee is attracted to shiny objects. It would seem that precious metals and minerals have some strange effect on her heightened sight.

C. Dislikes:
~1. The elderly: Renee has never been known to even attack older creatures. It would seem that with their withered meat, and minimal energy, they simply aren’t worth the time and energy expended on their slaughter.
~2. Hunger: Few things leave a more acute discomfort in Renee than the absence of food. Without it, she undergoes a marked decrease in energy, and quickly becomes lethargic, sloppy and slow. Some experts have speculated that due to Renee’s incredible metabolism, she drains energy from her body twice as fast as any other creature, and without a steady supply of meat, she would starve twice as fast as well.
~3. Males: Renee dislikes her gender’s counterpart for a variety of reasons. First of all, their meat is generally tougher, and they have a tendency to fight harder. Second, she is not immune to the attractions of other foxes, and she loathes herself for it. She sees her partiality for the male body’s beauty as an extreme weakness. The presence of a young, male fox brings about in her insecurities she feels all too strongly about…
4. Large Cities: Renee is a child of Nature. Few things frighten her more than the noise, pollution, and general hubbub of the urban centres.

D. Fears:
~Her Spirits: Although she has forever been empowered by the mysterious spirits which her mother supposedly commanded, they are not her slaves. They serve her will unquestioningly, but still she can feel their movements, sense their anger, and channel their power. She knows that should they ever feel displeased with her, her well-being would be in gravest peril.
~Herself: Despite the fact that Renee has become a heartless killer, there still lingers in her a certain essence of her long-lost innocence. That piece of her sees what she has become, and recoils within her. She fears what she may one day become…
~Enemy spirits: In a select few fights, Renee has slaughtered a few who also were able to channel spirits. Unlike the normal foe, these were able to attack Renee’s power source directly. The experience was the most excruciating experience of her life, and she has grown to fear all such channelers.

E. Attitude Towards Life/Death:
~1. Self: There is nothing more important to Renee than the preservation of her own life. There is no point to living other than to not die.
~2. Others: As far as she is concerned, all living things are bags of food and power to be exploited. She has no friends, no family to care for. She hates all living things for so shunning her, and so feels no guilt or regret at their deaths.
F. Attitude Towards People:
~1. Males:
~~a. Family (spouse included): She has none.
~~b. Friends: As a lone wolf, Renee has no friends.
~~c. Colleagues/Rivals: Other predators in the area are threats which must be exterminated.
~~d. Enemies: Renee has a deep fear for anyone who can hurt her. She reacts to fear with fiery outbursts of power, which comfort her, and make her feel secure. As long as she’s “top dog,” no one can touch her. Therefore, her enemies are nothing more than pitiful creatures which she mercilessly slaughters and then consumes. There is no reasoning with her, no bribe, blackmail or threat to be had. Once she has an enemy at her mercy, no form of coercion will dissuade her from the ultimate termination of the victim.

G. Attitude Toward Money/Power: Renee has no feeling for money. Why buy what you can rip out of someone’s cold, dead fingers? As far as power goes, as is said above, she must be “top dog,” or die fighting the champion.

H. Attitude Toward Work: Survival is nothing but perpetual work to Renee. She rests only to sleep and digest food. All other waking hours are spent hunting, or performing whatever job she is engaged in.

I. Attitude Toward Danger: Renee is a self-preservationist. She will under no circumstances risk her general well-being, no matter how great the potential for gain.

J. Attitude Toward Fighting: The exception to the above rule is when a powerful being challenges her. The Spirits dictate that they be fed the energy of powerful beings, and she cannot deny them. As a result, she is quite literally incapable of turning down a challenge.

K. Attitude Toward Anger/Forgiveness: Anger is perpetual against all things, and forgiveness is nonexistent.

F. Mental Condition[s]: Renee has been driven out of her mind by The Spirits. She is no longer part of humanity, but has sunk to the level of an animalistic brute. Her brain does not seem to be capable of sentimental feelings or care of any sort for other creatures.

G. Quotes: "........ *teeth sink into your skull* ........"
Note: This personality may not be suitable for all RPGs, However, the basic rules apply. She cares only for herself, she gets what she wants by force, she cannot turn down a challenge, and she is a complete coward.

III. Current Status

A. Current Residence: Her latest hunting grounds.

B. Occupation: Renee is a hunter who kills for a living.

C. Social Class: Renee was cast from society, and therefore has no place in it. She is the lowest of the low; she is an outcast.
4. Economic Class: Same as above.
5. Alignment: Her own good.

IV. Skills and Ineptitudes

A. Powers:
~1: Summary: Renee’s power resides primarily in a strange spiritual vortex that developed in the ocular section of her brain. Using this strange battery of ethereal energy, Renee is able channel powerful, and yet subtle powers, all of which spring from her ocular cortex, and are thus manifest in her eyes. These receptors of power have been changed by the power, and possess both irises and eye-shadows of a deep, misty purple. Instead of a pupil, there is a five-point star in the center of each eye, that is the same shade of teal as the strange rings on her tail. These stars spin rapidly when an attack is executed. However, this unearthly change in her eyes’ appearance is only apparent when her powers are agitated. Usually, the Power is dormant, and her eyes appear to be normal, blue eyes.
~~a. Illusory Magic: Once Renee has made eye-contact with any creature, she is capable of imposing all sorts of illusions upon them. In addition to this, she can make any spirit of hers appear to be anything from a person to a box, making for an effective ambush technique.
~~b. Spiritual Techniques: Using her powers in the purest form, she molds the energy of that which inhabits her mind, and manipulates it into ethereal beings which do her bidding.
~~c. Psychic Techniques: Combining the natural energies of her brain and her spirits, Renee creates a truly unique mental energy, which, when blasted into an opponent, eats away at their material and spiritual selves. These attacks disrupt attacks as well as do physical damage.

B. Combat abilities:
~1. General Illusions: Renee can attack and manipulate the sensory systems of those around her, forcing them to perceive unreal sights, sounds, smells, and feelings. These can be limited to an individual, or they can be apparent to everyone around her.
~2. Spiritual Block: If Renee concentrates all her energy on one individual, she can stop him or her from executing any psychic, spiritual, or elemental attack (although she can’t stop them from shooting, punching, etc.). However, if her concentration on the individual is broken, the lock is broken.
~3. Spiritual bond/shield: If Renee concentrates all her energy on one individual (including herself) she can stop all physical damage from being done to that individual. If her concentration is broken, however, the bond breaks. If an excessive amount of trauma is taken, the bond breaks, and Renee receives all the damage done since when she formed the spiritual shield.
~4. Illusory enhancement: Renee can enhance the attack of another to cause more pain than would normally be inflicted. Although this doesn’t cause any damage, it can be useful in terms of stunning or torturing an enemy.
~5. Spiritual enhancement: Renee can channel spiritual energies through her eyes (as is done in all her attacks), which then attach to the attack of an ally, dramatically increasing its potency. These energies can stay in the psychic form, or they can manifest themselves in the form of an elemental attack.
~6. Illusory detection: Renee is able to see through and destroy the illusions of others.
~7. Magical counteraction: Renee is able to diminish, and sometimes even cancel out the magical and elemental attacks of her enemies.
~8. Psychic Reversal: When damage is done to Renee or an ally, she can create a psychic, invisible mirror that does equal damage to the enemy who sent the attack. If this is used on an ally, Renee also suffers from the attacks it reflects. Note: This ability does NOT block the attack.
~9. Psychic charge: The spiritual energy forms two orbs of pure psychic energy in Renee’s eyes, which then seeps out in concentrated, invisible beams of energy. Being hit by this long-range attack is similar to being shocked with a large amount of electricity. As with all psychic attacks, this energy can also be molded into fire, ice, or any element.
~10. Copy: Renee can create an illusory copy of anyone and anything, and then control it.
~11. Spiritual creatures: In this attack, some of the energy within Renee’s mind seeps out and manifests itself in several misshapen creatures, which attack with sharp claws and teeth. While these creatures are out, all of Renee’s powers are diminished or weakened. If one of the creatures is destroyed in combat, this change is permanent until Renee is able to recharge herself.
~12. Recharge: Renee goes into a deep sleep for 48 hours. When she awakes, her powers and body are fully healed.
~13. Illusory creatures: These look exactly like the Spiritual creatures, except they do not drain Renee of her powers, and cannot actually inflict harm on the enemy.

C. Ultimate attacks:
~1. Mind-Control: If Renee stares one in the eyes, she can transfer her spiritual energies into that enemies’ brain, and take command of its body. However, when this takes place, her body enters a state of unconsciousness. If her body is disturbed in any way, she awakes and her power is broken.
~2. Illusory prison: If Renee stares one in the eyes, she can trap that person’s mind in a mental cage, effectively knocking them out indefinately. This takes a long time to complete, however, and if she is attacked in any way while performing this technique, she is knocked out.
~3. Spiritual manifestation: All of the energy in Renee’s mind is blasted out of her eyes, and does heavy damage to one target. This ethereal energy then forms itself into one, monstrous creature, which ravages her enemies. While this is in effect, she is powerless. If the creature is destroyed, she loses her powers until she has a chance to recharge.

D. Basic Fighting Style: Renee stands back, torturing her enemies with illusions of pain and horror, while blocking and manipulating their powers. Then, when her enemies are worn and terrefied, she blasts them with spiritual mayhem, and then finishes them with her killer-spirit minions. When forced into close-combat, she is a defensive fighter. She dodges and leaps like a lynx, sending spiritually-powered jabs into her enemies when she sees a weakness.

E. Talents: Renee is very good at being stealthy; it had been a necessity for her survival early in her life. She’s very good at hiding, moving silently, and just generally keeping herself out of sight.

F. Weaknesses:
~1. Frailty: Renee has a weak body that is very vulnerable to attack. If she is placed in a situation where she is open to attack, she will assuredly lose.
~2. Zero-visibility: Renee’s attacks only work as far as she can see. If she can’t see two feet in front of her face, she is powerless.
~3. Ocular trauma: If Renee’s eyes are damaged in any way, her powers are nullified until she can attack. This makes her very vulnerable to particle attacks, like sand.
~4. Physical attacks: Renee’s greatest skill is in the manipulation of other’s powers. However, she can do nothing to stop the gun, or the fist.
~5. Mana: Renee’s spiritual power slowly drains out, requiring her to recharge once every three months. If she overuses her powers, this time shrinks. If she goes too long without recharging, her powers neutralize.

V. Relationships

A. Spouse/Divorcees: None

B. Friends: Arnaud once captured and tamed the girl. They developed a brief, one-sided friendship. However, when Renee learned that Arnaud was planning on using her as a weapon of intimidation, she broke free and fled his castle. He is one of the few beings whom she fears.

C. Rivals: Theo (bio later), an echidine chieftan, who once defeated her on his way through the mountains.

D. Enemies: Her Prey.
