I swear to God, this is the SECOND fucking time a studio has bailed on me for shooting my script. I've been a screenwriter for over 3 years now, I've got two PSA's produced...sold, *never aired...yippie....* I've got dealt with Miramax, almost sold, got into negotiation, changes wanted on my script by the secretaries and bailed last second because they found someone better, and now again with MIRAMAX again. The same secretary, Sharleen or whatever the fuck her name is calls me up a few weeks back, she wants to re-go over some things regarding my script since the script they bought didn't work out, so I do, and mind you, I'm on my 6th draft now, since this has been most interested in terms of studios. We go over the BS, blah blah blah, what she and the producer wants, what I need to change, I agree, and two days later...sorry again.
Being in screenwriting means you got a bunch of fucking competition up your ass, when you're JUST starting out with nothing feature produced, most secretaries won't take a second's shit look at you, *to anyone who said the WGA people were being greedy, that screenwriters have it easy, fuck yourselves, and fuck yourselves right now, you ignorant bastards* so getting in negotiations for selling is generally a means of being hooked to selling a feature, of course it's never guarenteed, but come ON, two times by the same fucking people who apparently like the script? What's worse is, I know if they come to me a third time, I'm gonna say yes again because I want to get this shit sold.
Guys, fair bit of advice, don't be screenwriters if you are only doing it for money, and if any of you have stomach ulcers, don't, you WILL-FUCK-DIE.
*I don't have any ulcers yet, so suck it.*
Well, I'm not in any bad mood, I just celebrated my younger bro's 23rd birthday by taking him and some of my cousins to Vegas, so good drunken times.
Now, putting aside MY views on bastard flip floppers who make arrangements and bail last minute for various reasons, my question to you guys, regarding this topic is, how do YOU feel about flip-fuck-flopping assholes? Granted not all flip floppers are assholes, some have good reasons to bail on you, others generally don't. So when you deal with someone who doesn't have a good reason, how do you generally feel?
