Let me put it like this, when I first met Ziggy is was a stupid text language using n00b, since then I've never really liked him.
I never joined Day's trend of insulting him, and I shouldn't have to act nice to a person that I don't praticulary like.

And I never said that flaming is justified as long as the mods don't like a member. What I said is that what I posted wasn't me as a mod, it was my own opinion on him, why the hell should I have to withstand my own opinion because I carry a title?

But as you wish, I'll delete my post and any other posts that pop up that carries a negative light towards Ziggy.

Because when you have said title, you are not just speaking for yourself. You are representing the forum as a whole. If you were an employee of a store, you wouldn't go around insulting the customers. They wouldn't come back the the store after that and you might even risk getting fired. Whenever you carry a title of an organization larger than yourself, and that title is clearly visible, anything you do is representative of that organization.

Second cent) The only reason this is so is because of the fucking little society we have. They want everyone to act the same, everyone to feel the same, everyone to be the fucking same. Human nature, sort of, too. We see some shit we like, we fucking imitate it. People tend to be raised to view one way as "correct" so they like it, then imitate it. They tell their children "don't curse", "don't use slang", "Don't---" FUCK THAT".

This topic is really not necessary, it's already derailed but as far as the main point nobody cares if they copy you...if im not mistaken a flame equals a warning and then poitentually a ban if it worsens. That's it...no need to go whining that they are taking your 'style'.

While we're on the subject of social bandwagons and disrespect, I'd like to sum up how I feel about everything this topic concerns.

I do not like Day. Sure, he's funny, he's smart, he's witty, but he is also very disrespectful and immature. Day, if I was to give you any advice it would be; grow up already. I don't think my advice could be anymore clear than it already is.

Sometimes, I feel that Sonic Earth is sort of a hierarchy, with all of the "cool" people at the top and with all of the people considered a "n00b" at the bottom. I realize that this is normal for most online communities and that big changes to this social structure may never be possible. So, instead of trying to reach a state where people accept each other a little better (In this world? Ha ha ha, never.), I think those near the bottom of this hierarchy need to accept the inevitable. At this, I'd like to give out a salute out to Ziggy. His previous post showed that he doesn't care what people here thought of him. It would probably be best that he'd keep it that way as long as he remains on these forums. I am not done yet, there is one other subject I'd like to bring to attention.

Now, this may not be true, but I think there is a bandwagon for Day because to those who are having some bad luck with social interactions on the forums, they want to be like Day. This is more or less how a very lonely, outcast-teenager could feel about the popular kid in school when they want to be noticed. So technically, Day plays two roles in this scenario; he is the popular kid in school, and he is the big, nasty bully that no one dares to mess with.

The reason I said what I said in the last two paragraphs was because I sort of hoped that the message would go out to all of those people who are having a hard time on the forums. I want those people to learn that in order to really achieve acceptance here is by being yourself and not caring about what others thought negatively about you.

As for you mods, Sonikku's post has good reasoning to it. Keep this in mind that you have a job to do. That is all.
