Prologue Chapter 1: Hurai

In a kingdom in the middle of the forest, a kingdom where the nature born rule, their homes are located in the trees and their temples by great rivers. In this kingdom lives people with skins in all the different brown, green and gray shades you'd ever find, some even having so dark skin it looks black. Their hair can be from black to the lightest shades of brown and green and their eyes shine of either black, white, green, brown or yellow, having no pupils. The people carries a name and that name is Alveh'an, which is the Old Speech for 'Crystal Born Forest Child' Out of the three ancient races the Alveh'an is the one carries the most wisdom and the calmest nature, yet will attack anyone who hurts the forest with fierce passion. This morning one of the Alveh'an children is going to experience a world she has only heard about. A young Alveh'an girl slowly opens her eyes as the morning sun rises over the horizon, casting a very dim light on the city, giving off a mystical air in this ancient place. The girl slowly sits up and stretches her short arms as her small mouth goes wide open as she lets out a loud yawn, her mother now knowing she was awake. The girl looks around 14-15 and carries a mature aura, yet innocence and naivety shines through her eyes. Her skin is a dark shade of brown with dark green markings while her hairy is a creamy brown colour, adding to her innocent look and last her eyes shines green. She jumps off the bed and pulls herself over to her wardrobe, opening it to get a simple white robe out of it before she pulls it on. It is sleeveless with green edges, the skirt being split from where her thigh begins all the way down to her feet to make it easier to move in. She grips a staff that is leaned against her wardrobe and slings it across her back. She puts the palm of her hands together and looks towards the west, in which the direction Alvox, the Crystal Tree, was located
”Let today bring me joy and may Alvox's light shine upon me.” She prays softly and then smiles happily as she bows and exits her room, walking towards the front door.
”Good luck with the test today...” Comes her mothers soft and kind voice from the kitchen as she walks past it.
”Thank you mother...” Replies the girl as she opens the front door and exits the house, closing the door, then walks down a small staircase before she starts walking on a road floating between the tree where she lives and the tree where the main square of the city has been placed. She smiles at the people that pass and greets some of them with phrases like 'Alvox light shine upon you', 'May the trees shelter you from sorrow' or 'May waters holy flow cleanse you from worries'. This Alveh'an girl is an apprentice priestess, still training in their ancient magics to become a full priestess, and hopefully, one day, a high priestess. Soon she walks onto a small platform, walking into a pale green light in the middle and in a flash of the same green light she finds herself on an identical platform on the ground, in front of a great temple by a fast flowing river. She smiles and walks forward, entering the temple she walks through its long corridor and straight to the back of it where an old man dressed in a white robe with brown edges and green decorations all over it stands waiting. He has a brown mark of a pawn on his right cheek, a green one of a tree on his left one and finally the gray mark of a water drop on his forehead, marking him as a High Priest.
”Mavah-sah, pray the light of Alvox reflect of your soul...” The girl greets her teacher while smiling.
”Ah, Kiah-sei...” Says Mavah and smiles a kind smile at her. ”I pray the waters flow has blessed you today.” he says and gestures for her to get closer.
”I've been training as hard as I can, Mavah-sah.” Kiah tells him and smiles happily, being quite excited about this test that awaits her.
”Yes, the art of creating portals is one of our oldest and most sacred techniques, but it takes a lot of energy to create a portal for one as young as you...” He tells her and pats her head ”So, shall we begin?” he asks softly
”Yes Sah!” Kiah replies with excitement filling her voice with a sugar high tone to it. Mavah chuckles and nods ”Go on then, it is all prepared...” he says Kiah grips her staff and holds it in front of herself as she takes a deep breath, a focused look now on her face which had looked so hyperactive one moment ago.
”Arah'noh senerei menrei fallah ne...” she begins chanting when a gust of wind blows through the room as she's in the middle of the last word, the wind sends a tickling feeling through her nose and she sneezes in the middle of the last word, saying Hurai instead of Hurainemah.
”Kiah!” Mavah exclaims with wide eyes and tries to grip her hand as a green portal opened behind her and sucked her in, sending her somewhere that she didn't know... To some the mistake may of seemed small, but the whole chant goes. My soul is nature, let me flow, water flow, carry me to Hurainehmah Hurainehma happens to be the greatest temple of the Alveh'an and it means 'Random Wonders' Haven' because before the temple had been built random miracles happened at that location, thus it became a holy place. Kiah had just uttered the word Hurai which means Random in the Old Speech, so she was taken to a random location. Kiah lets out a yelp as she falls through the portal, landing in a alley between two stone houses on a paved ground. She slowly sits up and looks around herself, she saw people with skin colours between almost as pale as white to very dark brown walk past. Some were dressed in armor others just leisurely clothes. They had different hair colours, yellow, brown, red, black, gray, purple, pink and white, their eye colours seemed to be blue, green and brown.
W-where am I?! she exclaims in her mind, slowly getting to her feet as she back as far into the alley as she could, almost melting into the shadows. The whole day had passed and it was evening, the sun has just gotten drowned by the horizon as the has moon started to rise once again as two men enters the alley. The first man is a tall man with long brown hair and clear brown eyes, he has tanned skin from being out in the sun a lot. He wore a stylish black shirt with plate mail armor on his arms and legs, making it easier for him to move, but not leaving himself completely unprotected. He also carries a great two-hand sword on his back. The second man has short white hair and deep green eyes, his skin is of a brown tone. He has a black bandana that covers his lower face, which he pulls down, he also wore a brown shirt with chain mail above it, black leather trousers, brown boots and finally two knifes at his hips. Kiah bites her lower lip as they get dangerously close, if they get to close they'll see through her shadowing spell. Don't get too close...don't get too close...don't get too close...She prays, but her prayers got no answer as the man with white hair takes on step too close and spots her.
”What the?!” he says in shock, staring at her, the brown haired man now also staring at her.
”What by the branches of Alvox are you?” Asks the white haired man
”Al-Alveh'an...” Kiah stammers, looking terrified at the two men in front of her. They seem to relax when she says that.
”Ah, one of the Ancient ones...” Says the brown haired man and smiles ”What are you doing here?”
”My....My w-warp spell...Went wr-wrong...” Kiah replies quietly, staring at the ground.
”No worries miss...We're Humans, as you might know we hold the Ancient ones in high regard, as you are the races closest to Alvox.” Says the white haired man and smiles a kind smile.
”T-thank you!” Kiah says and bows at the waist, her hands placed slightly above her kneecaps.
”Don't thank us...” The brown haired man says softly and smiles ”But we obviously have to get you back to your people and I bet you won't find your way on your own...” he says and starts looking through his bag, soon handing her a long black hooded cloak.
”Put it on, miss, otherwise you'll draw too much attention for us to quietly get you back home...” Says the white haired man and smiles.
”O-okay!” Kiah says and smiles as she puts on the cloak, it covered most of her ”But...I do not want to cause you burden, that is not the Priestess way...” she tells them softly and looks worried
”It's an honor to escort one of the Ancient ones, its an honor to just see one of you...” The white haired man says seriously and then smiles. ”Come then, Miss...”
”I'm Kiah Ashneh...” Kiah says softly and bows at the waist ones more
”I'm Jacob Ironhill.” Says the brown haired man says and bows in return The white haired man bows before he replies ”And I'm Arthur Lightblade.”
”With all the introductions done, lets go...” Says Jacob and gripping her hand pulls her along as they leave the alley.

Prologue Chapter 2: I'm Scared

Kiah is slowly realizing that this is a harbor and right now she's quite excited as she's never seen the ocean before. So much of Alvox's energy in one place, the ocean and sea must be a blessed place.
Jacob and Arthur opens the door to their home and leads her into the kitchen, letting her sit down by the table. It's a small and cozy place, nothing fancy and they definitely don't seem to be well off, poor would be a better guess.
“Here, we don't have much else...” Arthur says with a smile as he puts a couple of slices of bread and some cheese in front of her. “Hope you enjoy it all the same...” he adds before he and Jacob head into a different room.
Kiah could hear them discussing something quietly and while she's chewing on some of the bread and cheese she sneaks up to the door, wanting to know what they were saying.
“You know what kind of seat we're in! On the black market we could get a fortune for her!” Jacob tells Arthur in a quiet, but yet very excited tone.
“I wouldn't mind some of her myself, but as a virgin she's worth more...” Arthur mutters in reply
“An authentic Alveh'an girl, a virgin, a priestess in training, innocent looking, naive AND gorgeous...” Jacob says happily, whispering to Arthur still. “You know what, if we didn't plan on sell-”
T-thats all they wanted...Not to help me....Mother...I'm scared...
Kiah doesn't hear any more as she quietly backs away from the door, dropping the piece of bread that she's holding before she quickly turns her heel and quietly jogs out of the house, pulling her hood back up before she enters the street and heads straight into a crowd, melting into it.

Jacob and Arthur are finally finished planning how they are gonna trick her to come along with them to the black market when they open the door and find that she's gone.
“No! By the curses of Erahtei! She must of heard us!!” Arthur exclaims and looks furious
“Well, after her then!” Jacob snaps and runs out of the house, quickly moving around on the street, trying to spot her.
“Have you seen a female dressed in a black cloak?” asks Jacob to different people in the crowd, and finally walks up to a shop keeper.
“Have you happened to of seen a female dressed in a black cloak?” he asks and holds up a silver coin.
“Why yes, good sir! I directed her down the main street just a couple of minutes ago, she wanted to know the fastest way out of town...”
“Thank you!” Jacob says and hands him the coin before he runs down the street “Come on Arthur!”
Arthur soon comes running after him as they take a shortcut down an alleyway, wondering how far she'd gotten by then, couldn't be too far and they would have her back, she was worth enough for them to travel to the other side of the world for.
Arthur runs up to another shopkeeper
“Have you seen a female in a black cloak pass?” he asks seriously
“Yeah, I saw a hooded female in a black cloak and white dress jog past not much more then a minute ago. I couldn't help but notice her because I thought she had green markings on her brown skin for a moment, but that must of just been me imagining things...”
A smirk spreads across his face “Ah, thank you...” he says and then continues running down the street with Jacob running beside him....

Kiah had walked quite a bit away from Jacob and Arthur's house before she'd broke into a run. Right now she's running down a big and pretty empty street, which she'd been told would lead her out of the city. She slowly slows down her running, taking deep breaths to get the air back into her lungs while she slowly walks along the paved road, the houses around her only consisting of shops. She looks at the different shops before glancing behind herself now and then. She smiles when she sees the gate out of the city up ahead and breaks into a slight jog, soon jogging past the city walls and out of the city, glancing behind herself one last time before she runs into the nearby forest, only just glancing at the ocean once, the thing she wants to study and be close so much, but she knows she can't. She continues running, deeper into the forest and doesn't stop until she just can't run any longer, collapsing beside a tree she leans against it and curls up, setting up her shadow spell before she falls asleep.
She wakes up in the middle of the night, when she's regenerated and slowly gets to her feet, slowly starting to walk through the forest while glancing around herself with worried eyes. The forest is quite crowded with trees, the branches comes together thickly and keep out most of the night sky. There is barely any light and she's always had a bad night sight. She tries to keep her breaths steady, not liking that she can't see through the dark that well.
If only I had been told the spell of how to light up the dark...And I need my staff for the teleportation spell....I'm stuck here in the dark....Mother, I'm scared.....
She puts the palm of her hands together as she prays intensely
Please, Alvox, bring me guidance and lead me home again....I'm scared, so scared...
She then goes completely still as she thinks she hears a twig snapping, feeling the panic rising she has to do all in her power to keep her breaths steady and quiet. She tries to glance around herself, but is too scared to move and after at least 10 minutes of standing utterly still she takes a hesitant step forward, sighing relief when she doesn't hear anything moving in reply. She slowly continues walking, stopping and standing still every time she heard a noise of any kind of sort. A bird chirping, a bush rustling or a twig breaking, anything made her stop walking, she's never been this scared in a forest before...Every shadow is out to get her now.
After a while of walking she looks up towards the sky, not being able to see much of the moon through the thick branches of the trees. She looks in front of herself and thats when she thinks she sees something move, no she's almost certain she saw something move. She slowly starts moving to her left, walking in a fast pace until she breaks into a run, hearing how bushes rustled behind her. She hears a couple of shouts between men which dies off within seconds. She keeps running, the panic rising too her head now as she's terrified, the men can be anywhere, hiding, she's running as fast as she can.
Where are they? I can't see them....Is one of the waiting up ahead to catch me while I'm running? I gotta take the risk!!
She feels tears of fear fill her eyes and stream down her cheeks as she keeps running, when she suddenly hears someone shout behind her and turning her head she sees Jacob, glaring at her.
“Ah!” she exclaims and turns to look forward as she keeps running, but as she does she suddenly runs straight into something. Something firm yet soft, not a tree...She feels a pair of powerful arms grip her and sling her across a shoulder.
“No! Let me go!!” she begs and starts struggling against the grip of the powerful man.
“Shut up!” Snaps Jacob as he comes round the powerful man, backhanding her
“We tried to take you to the black market nicely, but you had to run away, so it'll have to be the hard way now!” he yells at her as Arthur soon comes up behind him. Seems they didn't work alone, the man holding Kiah was proof.
“Now lets go! We have a cute girl to get into order for the black market...And make sure no one touches her, we need her to be a virgin, she'll be worth a fortune in that case...” Arthur orders the men as they start heading back in the direction of the town...
