New Rewards System

Some of you may have noticed that the layouts of profiles has been modified slightly. If you're confused, this should help. The reason we have done this, is so we can now reward members for various things.

That's right, we're offering Rings to members for many a reason. We know you people crave the things.

Basically, in order to try to help reduce spam, and increase valuable posts in the forum, we're implementing a new rewards system. Basically, if you post a new thread which is a good discussion point (for example, THIS (http://forum.sonicearth.com/showthread.php?t=719) and THIS (http://forum.sonicearth.com/showthread.php?t=647)), the poster will be rewarded. As the post count in these topics increases, the poster will be further rewarded. This is not an excuse to spam however, as we will be checking for spam posts.

However, we can also take away Rings, so if you wanna keep em, don't spam, flame, or whatever, we will take them lovely bits o' gold back.

More details will be posted here as we finalise the rewarding. For now, post on m'dears.

Well I don't mean like, less than three paragraphs, you lose a Ring. It's just like, spam and flames, will be penalised with infractions AND ring deduction.

Yeah, I get it and all, I mean I don't really flame, spam or anything. It's just interesting since this wasn't a feature back at SZF XD maybe it should have been though (at least I don't think it was a feature)

I came up with it a few days ago and only told Sonikku tonight, but now it's on.

Its a grat idea and I like it how the profiles have changed back to when I first signed up. It just seems easier from me and I didn't like the other version.

On a side note; I actually prefer the old profile layout to the current one. If I know my vBulletin, then it's currently the default layout, which I get enough of at several other forums I go to.

But that doesnt matter very much. The idea is still pretty good.

Well unfortunately it's the only layout with an 'Award' option next to ones ring count, so it has to be used. I don't like it much myself, but it works.

You guys do realize that there is a shop modification out for vBulletin, it's called vBPlaza, and should work with the "Rings" currency. :\ Maybe you should go grab it, install it, and then we'll be more motivated to post.

As Minty says Rings aren't the most valuable thing on here. But I do think it is a valuable thing to use against members who LOVE to earn rings and boast about it often.

Nice gimmick D *shot*. But you really need to get that damn shop in or it isn't going to work (I know it's been said). I suggest you get a couple of artists to get to work on that.
