Physical appearance/attire: Large bushy tail, distinct markings around her body, and large ears. She wears a kimono-like halter top with a matching mini skirt, and often wears traditional Japanese geta sandals. See image above for specific details.
Birth-place: Okinawa, Japan
History: Born and raised on the isolated island Iriomote of the Yaeyama Islands in Japan, Nekiko found herself alone and without many friends for most of her young life. Her life was by no means sad or difficult, but she constantly found herself yearning to see the rest of the world and meet people who were different from herself. At the age of 10, she participated in an exchange program and lived with a host family in Japan. Already fluent in Japanese and Okinawan, she had been learning English from the age of 6 and up, but never perfected it until her years at a Japanese mainland school. Even though she had fallen in love with the cultures of Japan, there was still more of the world she longed to see; she still wanted to surround herself with people different from herself. When she turned 14, Nekiko left her host family to live on her own, and she journeyed out of Japan.

Dislikes: Being alone with someone she has just met, feeling anxious or nervous, being alone and by herself
Fears: Being alone with strangers, being alone in general, having people leave her
Personality: Nekiko is a very nervous and shy girl, who finds herself being very self-conscious, both about how she looks and how she talks. She clasps her hands together when he gets excited (but makes sure her hands don't rub against each other; iriomote cannot sheathe their sharp claws). She she meets new people, she tries her hardest to make a good impression, which usually leads to her becoming even more nervous and awkward. She also has a tendency to make a small "~kiinya" sound when she gets really nervous
Attitude Towards People:
~1. Family: She loves her family and rarely feels nervous around someone who she is related to. She believes that it is impossible for two people with the same blood to truly hate eachother.
~2. Friends: She is often quiet and nervous around her friends, because she has a fear that they may dislike her and leave her, making her alone.
~3. Rivals: She doesn't consider anyone her rival and never has, so she is unfamiliar with the idea.
~4. Enemies: If someone threatens her, her first instinct is to run. If necessary, she will fight. however, she would prefer to work things out rather than afce conflict.
~5. Strangers: She is very shy when it comes to strangers and feels nervous when forced in a one-on-one situation.

Strengths: Nekiko's nails are strong and can cut through many things, making them ideal in combat; a punch will make you sore for awhile, but a bleeding wound will have to be tended to immediately. This is her way of avoiding injury should she ever face danger. She is also very keen when it comes to hiding. Even with her bright colored clothing and hair, she was born with apt ability to camoflage herself from danger.
Weakness': Her nails, while strong, often cause her to cut herself. She may even harm others without meaning to. She usually keeps her hands together so as not to create an excuse where she may have to touch another person. Nekiko is also very nervous and may freak out in even a simple situation.
