I thought it was pretty good. the fight scenes were a little to much like the video game, except the fight between sonic and Msonic that was awesome.

Awesome movie is awesome.
I mean, it has Robotnik trying to rape some cat-girl. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR IN A MOVIE?

Where and when did this movie come out
Youtube is a great tool. Search and find.
But yeah, it's good. To bad it isn't that well known.

It's like a feature length version of the Sonic CD intro.
Also, Knuckles wore a hat for some reason, what the hell happened to that?

And I guess that hat was able to make Knuckles fly cause he flew in that movie.Cause I just thought he could glide.

The movie was pretty good, and I thought Sonic sounded good with a english accent.

lol, the Irish guy who voiced Sonic had some memorable lines. The funniest part was listening to him try to pull off an American accent, it was painfully obvious, yet mildly entertaining.
"STRANGE, ISN'T IT?"
"WHAT YOU SAY?

"STRANGE, ISN'T IT?"
That has to be my favourite line in the whole movie. The way he says it is just priceless.

I have the DVD, and the movie is alright. Some characters that never seen before, Knuckles with his wierd hat, and Tails looks very very fuzzy. I love the old school "anime drop" actions they explain a lot, but nonetheless, good.
Voice? Maybe if they took that plug off their noses, it could be better.

A few years time has altered my opinion on the film dramatically.
As a young adolescent with a hard on for anything and everything Sonic, I would have a fangasum anytime I obtained a piece of Sonic merchandise. So as soon as I saw the film at my local blockbuster I could've sworn I was on the verge of crapping my pants.
In the coming weeks I would have seen the film at least 25 times, and to this day a little more than 50. I could do nothing but rant about the masterpiece and show it to all of my companions. With a raving review like that how could my opinion possibly have changed so dramatically you might ask. Well 8 years, puberty, and the internet will do that to a person.
I look back on my current 9 year old view and chuckle. For you see the very small plot line and vocals driving the film bordered on horrendous. So much to the point where they're actually quite humorous. The plot consisted of Sonic traveling to Robotropilos to stop the world from imminent doom. A quest given to him by the insidious Dr. Eggman. All of this left room for many a twist. But as luck would have it we get stuck with the crappy "OH MAH GAWAD EGGMAN HAS A MACHINE AND IS JAWNA KILL URVERYTHIN"!
And all the while throughout the entire plot, tacked on characters like Sarah fail to be anything but mad fan-service. They do very little for the story, and are nothing but a burden on Sonic and his friends. And whats worse is how little Knuckles actually had to do in driving the films events. If you took him out of the film entirely, you could still get by with the exact same plot line.
So we have a shit story with shit characters played by shit voice actors, so what else is left to criticize? Oh yes, the films art and animated sequences. This is the only redeeming part of the film and has very few (if any) bad characteristics. Seeing Sonic and the gang drawn and brought to life was about all I needed as a young and ignorant Sonic fan, the plot and acting was wasted on a soul younger than 12.
So that really is all that needs to be said about this film. Nothing but mad fan service geared towards young undeveloped minds. And what's really sad is that it's leaps and bounds ahead of cartoons like Sonic X. Time has not been kind to our blue friend in terms of his animated glory. (hell all of his glory in general)
