The world you live in is a steam punk post-apocalypse where the atmosphere is polluted by the last city in the world; Ender Vega. Ender Vega is a prime source for crime, poverty, and gang wars. The government declared martial law three years ago, but it only created more fighting and more distress. Yet, in this world exists a place where there is some peace. Ironically, it is called the Madness Plane - a metaphysical dimension that serves as an almost direct copy of the world before the apocalypse. In this world, people gain superpowers based on their most primary trait. In this RP, you play as a person living in Ender Vega (Any kind of humanoid you'd like) who has discovered a portal into the Madness Plane.

Alex stood on a barren, dust covered street. He looked around as the frequent, subtle breeze picked up sand brushed past his face. Children played soccer with a tether ball in the street before they're called in by their parents. Alex looked at the sunset blocked by gray and green layers of smog. His curfew has begun. The boy traveled back into his house and walked into his room.
Alex's bedroom was a small, wooden room with a small cot, a broken dresser, and a single, large window on the wall directly across from the door. He laid on the covers to his rickety bed and sat there looking at the ceiling. He closed his eyes and lulled into a nap.
