Is this character based on Sonic Team's or Archie's portrayal of Sonic the Hedgehog? Sonic Team or really kinda my own thing

Name: Raijin *Raijin is a Shinto [Japanese] thunder god. His companion is the demon Raiju, which is a mammal wrapped in lightning. This is the form Jolteon takes, what they [as well as the legendary Raikou] are based on.
Nicknames: Jin, Jolt
Age: 22
Species: Pokémorph. He's a mix of Luxray and Jolteon *Luxray and Jolteon are both electric element. Luxray is based on a lynx or lion, and as noted above, Jolteon is a Raiju. I mixed both of them together, which doesn't follow Pokémon's breeding rules of the mother determining the species. Shut up :p

Birth Place: Goldenrod City, Johto *This is not only my favorite Pokémon city, but it's where Bill lives if I remember correctly, and Bill gives you an Eevee in gold and silver, which is of course where Jolteon evolves from. However Bill doesn't actually GIVE you the Eevee in Goldenrod. But I digress.
Residence: Given the fact he is a storm chaser, Raijin doesn't permanently live anywhere, but he has a mobile home he travels in. He's commonly seen in and around forests though, since they rain often.
Occupation: Storm chaser *This was inspired by an episode of Pokémon where Jolteon was a featured monster, "Get Along Little Pokémon" where Jolteon's owner, Ethan, was a storm chaser of sorts. Raijin does the same thing, he tracks down lightning storms and stores the electrical energy he gets from them, then uses it to power nearby cities. For pay.

Alignment: Raijin does whatever he chooses, usually putting him in the neutral position. He will switch sides without hesitation though, if he feels something is going out of his boundaries. He is quick to trot, and gets going when things confuse him. He usually sides by himself for simplicity.

It also increases his speed if he uses it while running. *Charge is an actual attack, where the user stores power and it increases your defense as well as the additional effect of, when you chain electric-type attacks to it, increases their power.
• Thunder Fang - A physical, close range attack and escape tactic. Raijin bites his enemy with electrified teeth.
• Discharge - Raijin's strongest attack. He lets loose an uncontrollable blast of blue lightning at his enemy. *This attack in the Pokémon games, in multi-battles, does indeed strike everything in battle. Even allies.
• Shockwave - Raijin uses some spare electricity to zap his opponent quickly, and it can't be easily avoided.
• Zap Cannon - Contrary to Shockwave, Zap Cannon takes time to charge, but lets loose a paralysing blast of lightning. It's hard to make a hit with it.
• Flash - An escape tactic. Raijin uses electricity to light up an area, blinding his opponent. *Can also light up annoying Rock Tunnels XD
• Thunder Jump - Raijin shocks himself when he jumps, to increase the height of his jump. If someone contacts him while the jump is being made, they get shocked.
• Thunder Wave - Raijin lets out a weak electrical wave that slows down his enemy. Escape and defense tactic.
Abilities & Aptitude:
• Raijin has exceptional eyesight. He can see through most cloth and hollow objects. He cannot see through solid walls. He can, however, see at night. His eyes glow when he is looking through something. *Luxray is the "Gleam Eyes" Pokémon, known to be able to see through anything.
• Raijin has amazing speed and agility, being part Jolteon.
• Raijin's sense of smell is acute.
• Raijin's body does not contain blood. It contains electricity instead. Because of this, lightning and other electrical elements do not harm him, instead they charge his power when hit by them. *Jolteon has this ability, it is called Volt Absorb in the games.
• Because of the previous ability, Raijin can power an entire city all night through a thunderstorm.
Hobbies & Talents:
• This comes from his line of work, Raijin has a great effiecency at using tools of meteorology, as well as being able to tell when rain is coming. If you tell him to look at the sky, he can tell you when it will rain next.
• Reflecting the previous, Raijin does a great deal of guessing, and has a knack at getting it right.
• Decent mechanic, can repair cars and other mechanical things, can also create apps for a Pokétch.
• Knowledgeable but reckless and fast driver.

Raijin has a gigantic competitive streak, and he thinks he has to be the best at whatever he does. Once he gets an idea, he won't listen to anybody [not that he ever does anyway] and he ventures the globe to do it. He does have a genrous and charitable nature, repairing small things for free to a friend. He is loyal to his allies, but he hasn't yet grasped the concept of trust. Being friends with Raijin takes a lot time, since he rarely pays attention to others, but the key is to catch up with him or compete, or just plain running into him often. Raijin never looks where he's going, since he always wants to look cool, but of course this results in him tripping over his own tail or something. When he's angry, Raijin still speaks quickly, even faster when he's provoked, making it near impossible to tell what he is saying. But he's far from quiet or harmless, especially when in a provoked state. However he does have a slight of balance and thought when angry, and this makes him do all sorts of foolish things, and of course listens to nobody and never admits to anyone [maybe not even himself] that it was wrong.
