Chapter 1: A Secret Room and a Secret Journel
It was a summer day on Space Colony (http://www.sonikku.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62939&pid=1555738&st=0&#) ARK. Well, you can't exactly call it day when your in
space. Anyway Shadow has decided to look through some old files on the ARK data base, hoping
to find more information on the technology on the ARK so he can have it fully functional. So far
he has found a voice activated system abord the ARK that carry out commands as instructed by
the voice user. Shadow has set it to his own vocal pattern making running the ARK easier.
"Computer (http://www.sonikku.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62939&pid=1555738&st=0&#)." yelled Shadow as he looked through a box of disks.
"Yes, master Shadow?"replied the speakers abord the ARK.
"Run full function diagnostic of the ARK." said Shadow still looking through the many disk.
"Yes, master Shadow. Please wait." The computer fell silent and a low humming sound can be
heard through the metalic hallways of the the space colony.
"Diagnostic complete master Shadow. ARK is functioning at 60%."
"Damn!" cursed Shadow. He has spent months trying to get the ARK back the way it was 50
years ago and he is only a little over half way there.
"Also master Shadow, during my diagnostic I have uncovered a strange energy signiture abord
the ARK that I have not seen since nearly 50 years ago." Shadows eyes widen.
"Take me to the source of this signiture!" Shadow demanded.
"As you wish master Shadow. Please follow the repair drone to area." Just after the speakers
stopped a flap on the ceiling opened and a small orb came out and headed towrds a hallway.
The probe was fast but nothing Shadow couldn't handle. After nearly a mile of traveling (http://www.sonikku.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62939&pid=1555738&st=0&#) the probe
stopped. Another flap opened and the probe floated inside. Shadow inspected where he was.
There was nothing, just a blank hallway and a window looking towards the Earth.
"Computer! I told you to take me to the energy signiture, not a blank hallway." yelled Shadow.
"But master Shadow this is where the signiture is. It is 45 degrees towards your right. Shadow
looked right. All he saw was a blank wall.
"Is this some kind of joke!? It's just a blank wall like the rest of this god damn hallway!" Shadow
was enraged, maybe this old technology wasn't worth saving.
"My apologies master Shadow if I let you down." Although it was unkapable of emotion the
computer did sound sad. Shadow took another look at the wall and decided to get a second
opinon. Shadow closely examined the wall. There were no irregularities and seem to look exactly
the same as the other walls.
Why would there be any difference in power towards this wall? All power came from the
generators on the ARK and then distributed evenly among the colony.
Shadow continued to ponder what the difference could be. Maybe it was just an accidental
power surge and it just so happen to happen 50 years ago. Shadow decied to find out.
"Computer."
"Yes master Shadow?" said the computer eagerly.
"I want power level readings of this whole section." If the power is just small amount higher or
lower the the norm power levels. Then it just has to be a small power fluke that can be easily
repaired by repair probes.
"One moment please." said the computer and the same hum can be heard from before. Shadow
waited impaciently tapping his foot.
"Power diagnostic complete." chimed the computer.
"Finally. So whats the reading?" asked the Ebony hedgehog.
"North hallway 55, south hallway 55, current location 85." Shadow nearly lost balance when he
heard the reading.
85!!! That's 30 more than the norm power level!!!
"Computer are you positive!?" asked the shocked hedgehog.
"Yes master Shadow, power readings of that wall are 85."
Shadow was dumbfounded, that reading was as close to the power core reading as any other
part of the colony!
There is no possible way that one wall can hold that much power. The only place close is the
lab/computer room and I don't see...
Shadow stopped in mid thought and had an idea. He walked towards the wall and gave it a firm
solid knock. He jumped back the minuite he heard the most unreal thing. An echo.
"Computer!" yelled Shadow.
"No need to yell master Shadow." replied the computer.
"Give me a 3-D map of the area." he had to know if he was going mad.
"As you wish master Shadow." the flap the probe vanished into opened and a long rod with a
orb at the end of it appeared. The orb had a blue lens on the side of it which emitted a 3-D
hologram of the ARK. Then a square appeared around a small area of the ARK and expanded. It
was the hallway Shadow was in and it showed exactly what Shadow thought he would see,
nothing. He knew there was only one way to find out he was right.
"Computer, I want you to take a heavy duety defense plasma blaster and blast the wall."
Shadow comanded.
"Right away master Shadow." And without question the hologram projector elevated and large,
bulky 4 barreled gun appeared in it's place(Think Ratchet and Clank Going Commando gun on
cover). The barrels began to spin rapidly and emidiately stopped. An orange light began to shine
on the top barrel. Shadow jumped back knowing how powerful these cannons are after he
accidently set off the alarm one time. He ducked down a covered his eyes. A large blast was
heard and smoke covered the hallway. Shadow looked up and saw was stunned at what he saw.
Inside the large whole the cannon made was a secret room with a large computer and a
multitude of of large white tubes. He slowly walked into the room. It had old paper litered on the
floor and walls filled with equations and figures. Shadow past the tubes and went to the computer
curious of it's knowledge.
How come I have never been in this room before? Why is it hidden? Maybe it's a hidden GUN
computer room used to control the ARK if it was captured.
Shadow sat himself down at the computer. He turned it on and a password screen appeared.
"No problem." said Shadow to himself. He knew most of GUN's most common passwords ever
since he was able to get into the ARK mainframe. Shadow tried nearly 8 different passwords and
was almost ready to give up.
"DAMN IT!" cursed the hedgehog,"If this computer doesn't work on GUN passwords then who...."
Suddenly an idea came to Shadow. He returned to the keyboard and typed in the one other password he knew. M-A-R-I-A.
ACCESS DENIED
Now Shadow was really frustrated. Even one of Geralds most used passwords didn't work!
Shadow turned and left but just when he was inches from the hole the made the entrance a new
idea sparked in his mind. He turned and ran back to the computer and typed in the password he thought of, S-H-A-D-O-W.
ACCESS GRANTED: WELCOME GERALD ROBOTNIK
This isn't a GUN computer it's Geralds computer!
Shadow was excited and wanted to begin.
"Computer." said Shadow.
"Yes master Shadow?" the computer replied
"Upload all information from this computer to main Computer room." Shadow was just about to
leave when the computer replied.
"My apologies master Shadow but there is no computer to your vecinity, nor is there a room."
Shadow was baffled and remembered that the room didn't exist on the map meaning that the
computer doesn't know it's there. But that would also mean that this computer was seperated
from the ARK's mainframe. Shadow took a seat on the chair in front of the computer and began
to look through different files and found a journel of Dr.Gerald Robotnik.

What will Shadow find in the journel?
What are these white tubes?
Are they connected?
Why am I asking you?
Find out more next time!
