I'm seriously about to rip the damn braces out of my mouth. They made my front teeth all loose. And they hurt like the dickens. I can't eat a thing.
Does anyone else have braces? Hopefully I'm not the only one who still has to deal with them.

Never had them myself, but I've seen my two brothers have theirs.
Planned on giving my brother a bag fill with different kinds of chewing gum when he got to get rid of his.
But man...is it really meant to hurt like that? Have you had it for a while or did you just get it?

Yes i have braces... Dont rip them out your mouth that will only result in more brace time. You will hate them yes but I have no idea how i cope... No cole pepsi or any fizzy drinks for another 48 weeks for me. I pity you since i only have a brace for the top of my mouth but still bad. Take this word of advice, Even when you thin your teeth are ok dont bang them. No i mean it, it hurts bad on the front the most just avoid it...

I had them for a year and a half. They weren't so bad compared to the expander I had for two years. That one hurt a lot.

I had braces for two and a half years. It's painful for the first few weeks, but don't worry, it wont be like this all the time, for now just take motrin or something so that your gums don't swell, and the joint pain in your jaw wont be so bad.
And do EVERYTHING the dentist tells you, or your braces wont work. My braces were supposed to fix my over bit, but it didn't because I didn't listen to the directions I was given, and now I wish I had. When your given rubberbands to put in your mouth, keep them in all the time. And don't forget to ware your retaner when they get taken out.

Oh yes braces. Oh the pain, yet the reward they give. I didn't get them to 7th grade and got them off in last year. A pretty long time if you ask me.
Advice: When they tighten them you're going to start to drool like crazy. Keep chapstick or towel around, you might need it.

Aww... trust me, if you have the right ortho, then it'll be no problem. But if the sucky one comes over and leaves a big piece of wire at the corner of your mouth... I suggest you buy some braces wax. It'll get so annoying...
And the calices. Those little suckers will feel like giant flaps of dead skin on the sides of your mouth. Pick them off, but beware. :o They have more of a duller, dimmer pain.

*hugs Zigs* It'll be okay. It's just for the first couple of weeks that they'll get annoying.
