This is a prequel to my fancharacter, Crete's story in Lost in Blue

Hello. In order to roll the story We're going to start with Crete's early life.
Act 1: The Prologue
Crete had an almost normal life until he was six years old. He lived with his mother and father in a small hut not far into the fields. He was extremely bright and inquisitive at that age, despite the fact that his parents couldn't afford education. But his family loved him so much, and would do anything to keep him on the right path to a good future.
King Davent, The ruler of Crete's kingdom, Tamir, however, was extremely harsh. He would kill his own grandmother if it meant getting money. Every month, he'd demand extremely high taxes from every citizen of Tamir.
Usually everyone payed their taxes as quickly as they could, but Crete's father, Bahnrak could not spew up 30 umulitts ( the kingdom's currency.) Desperate, they decided that they HAD to give Crete a job, and agreed to sign a contract with Artegris Shaddix, a cruel and sadistic magician. Of course, at the time, Shadixx acted as a kindly old man who would make Crete do some yardwork for only 5 hours in 4 days in a week. Thus, Crete would travel to the very tip of a creepy and unstable mountain where Shadixx had lived ,every day. It was routine, but one night he was working late..
Shadixx returned to his castle at the top of the mountain while Crete was working, and returned with some horrible news.... Crete's parents had past away. Being a total bastard, Shadixx DID'NT tell Crete that he killed them himself. To make it up, Shadixx offered Crete to live with him, and told the young fox that he would never have to work again.... but Shadixx lied.
From there, Crete's life went downhill. He became a slave, and was NEVER permitted to leave the mountain. EVER. One night at the age of nine, Crete asked why he wasn't allowed to play with other kids. Shadixx answered, " Because they're horrible and they don't do work. They don't carry out what an honorable job that you do; and they'll make you one of them. Now if you ask me another STUPID question like that, I'll strike you!!"Crete's eyes widened. Shadixx then left the site of Crete's "bedroom" ( A pile of hay) and went to the highest story of the castle, where his luxurious bedroom was. That was the closest thing to a bedtime story crete would ever get...
Crete grew up, and was still working hard for no reason. He didn't object because Shadixx was INCREDIBLY manipulative. Once, Crete managed to secretly get a girlfriend at the age of sixteen, and Shadixx turned her into a pile of white dust because she was a "waste of time." Shadixx's hypnotic powers with words forced Crete to not see the seriousness of the situation.
Then there happended quite an unusual situation when Crete was seventeen. Crete was washing the dishes and he dropped all of them, causing him to shout "FUCK!" out loud. Shadixx popped into the room, saying, "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY??!!!" Crete replied, "FUCK YOU, OLD MAN!!"... At that exact moment, in slow motion, crete could see cappilaries burst in Shadixx's eyes. Plagued by fear, Crete snatched Shadixx's wand which lied on the table next to him. He waved it, unaware of the consequenses. Shadixx's eyes turned from a dark red to a light blue, and he just walked away without a care in the world. That certainly saved Crete's life....
