We all know that the U.S. presidential election is coming up. We also know that there are 2 major candidates: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (Mccain is an idiot). Now what happens when Obama plans a trip to Iraq? Mr.Mccain seizes this opportunity to mudsling his opponent. Wow...

What do you guys think?

Mudslinging- a figurative term utilised in politics

Example:

Last presidential election John Kerry mudslinged Bush for trusting Afghan warlords to smoke out Osama.

Political parties does anything to gain support.

My opinion? I don't care... really. Someone's gonna lead the nation, and I only hope its someone who can do the job, not make up fallacies and propaganda. Unfortunately, political election runs doesn't tell everything... (btw, yes Im Canadian, so I really, I don't care who runs the US)

Democracy is the worst form of government.

Nope, that'd be Americanism. It's half-communist, half-democracy, all confusing.

Always thought Presidents sounded like mini dictators.

How in the hell are the states communist? D:

Honestly. They're the epicenter of capitalism.

I wouldn't dare accuse anyone of being ignorant. It's probably just so dark when your head is shoved up your ass that you couldn't distinguish between communism and a dictatorship.

It's politics. It can turn the most poised, sportsmanlike candidates into swine. Get someone to dangle a job like that over your head and see how high you'll jump. It has nothing to do with communism or dictatorship.

I strongly encourage all of you to do some homework before getting political. Save yourselves the humiliation.

Exactly.

Communism? Dictatorship? Where the fuck have you people been? We elect who want to become the next President of the United States, and it's our own damn faults if we get stuck with one that does something insanely stupid, aka Bush.

The media blows everything out or proportion, since they're biased idiots who have nothing better to do. Fox example, if Clinton happened to admit that she had gotten arrested for something stupid, the media would blow it out of proportion and say crap like "Well, she did blah blah blah, now I have doubts about her leadership abilities."

But saying or even comparing our government to communism or a dictatorship is just bluntly retarded. Do as Infinity said, and go out and read up on politics before you even start saying anything.

Oh, thanks for calling me a fecking retard.
I'm not American, thank you very much, and thus have no reason nor desire to go and read up exactly on how your political system works.

I always thought Presidents sounded like MINI-dictators back when anyone tried to explain what Presidents were and are when I was a kid and to some amount I have to say that I still look at presidents that way.

I didn't call the USA a dictatorship, so don't go and fucking put words in my mouth if you're gonna look and act as if I'm a fucking retard.

Before assuming what people think there is something that you can do to make sure that you're assumtion is correct and that is asking.

He didn't call anyone retarded, he said "comparing our government to communism or a dictatorship" is retarded. No one is assuming anything, except for those who doesn't know what they're talking about (which I don't mean a bad thing, some people just don't know).

Last time I checked, many republic nations has "presidents."

Canada, many other countries including many of the commonwealth have "Prime Ministers." (In the commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth, is still the head of state, so calling President means that person have power over the monarch.)

But literally, their jobs are almost the same thing (except for ceremonial purposes).

Every nation's leader can be like a mini-dictator. Dictatorship is not a bad word as well as communism (like how everyone calls people communist if they don't agree with things, thats fucking bullshit).

Dictators are people who controls the state and people without consent of the people (meaning they don't need the people's vote to do things). Funny, sounds like something many leaders do after they gain power from an election. We don't vote whether or not we want George Bush to decide to brush his teeth with a pink or yellow tooth brush. The only difference, we can vote leaders to be kicked out (which the sad part is, when people vote for a bad leader, they have to suffer first to realize that he or she is bad). Leader can be called mini-dictators because once we vote them into power and once they come into power, they can make any standards they want after that.

Communism is a form of idea (political and social) where the state or government controls the land and society (common ownership), where the government owns and sets the standard for everything.

Want to know what else is part communism? Socialism. Free health care, free education, welfare, etc. Money is being pooled into a source (called national treasury) and then distributed back to the people through certain services. The government controls all of those services (or cooperative ownership), so who says "communism" is bad? Oh, we just hide the word and call it "socialism" lawl.

Google new words then you first hear them. Better yet, dictionary.com and wikipedia.com. Happy reading.

And plus if we should really belive all men are equal, then we SHOULD belive in communism, because in (a just) communism everyone gets paid the same and gets the same amount of everything. Anyone remember, the Soviet Union?

erm... lets get back to topic...

America is a republic (there's nothing against between republic and democratic. Republic just means a country/state with no monarch while democracy is a country or state where people have political powers exercised through elections.), so don't be mislead by "Obama's Republics" or "Hilary's Democratics."

(lol, that ain't the topic...)

Sorry, the term Mini-dictator brings upon the term Dictator, which is directly related to Dictatorship. So, in a way, you did.

Urm, we went WAY off topic... so anyway: I feel that Obama should go to Iraq and slowly pull out the troops because if we just pull them all out at once who knows what can happen?
