Ok so Just thought i'd drop by and give you guys a little bit of information about the server.
Its hosted using an emulator called MANGOS which is currently running WoW TBC on version 2.4.1
Here is a quick rundown of the server stats
Experience rate = 5x faster than retail WoW
Money drop rate= 4x more than retail WoW
Talent acquisition rate = 1.25x more than retail WoW (an extra talent every 4 levels)
Maximum level = 80
GM's = So far we have 5 GM's (yes probably a little much since we only have like 3 or 4 normal players but thats how it is for now)
The GM's with a level of 4 are considered the DarkFire Dev Team
and these are -
Deano - 4
Hulky - 4
Alexutzu - 4
Lira - 6
Me (man of a million names) - 6
any future GMs will NOT receive a level higher than 3 unless it is under special circumstances so its safe to say the dev team is fixed.
However GM level 3's may come about later on (they are just boring old GMs with no special title) and they just simply manage the in game world and check for bugs.
getting connected couldn't be simpler, Deano has kindly spent time writing a connection guide which will help you to get yourself patched up or down to 2.4.1 and will guide you through changing your realmlist file.

So why should you join? Well apart from the much more relaxed enviroment you have playing private servers comparted to retail, if you mess up you aren't going to be treated like a convict and get thrown in solitary for a year for chewing slightly too loud for someones comfort, we are all friendly and willing to help out anyway we can as long as your not running round asking for free stuff.
On top of that, the more members we get, the more updates i am going to make which will mean more new items bosses mobs quests dungeons armour sets weapons. also the more people that play the more events we shall be hosting, each event you win you will receive a token and either a non raid non pvp item of your choice or upto 500 gold (dependant on your characters level)
Occasionally either Myself or Lira will host a hunting event which will be a monster slaughter fest to collect certain items once all of the items are collected by you and your team mates you will give them to us and we will spawn a boss, if you manage to take down the boss - you have the chance to win a once in a life time item, which will be bind on pickup and will probably be alot better than anything you can find in a raid instance.
Anyone who succeeds in acquiring an Event Item will be immortalised with his team in the hall of fame on the forums.
Any existing members who refer a friend to the server will be rewarded with a one-off gift level boost and an item, dependent upon their class/level. Any more referrals afterwards will be rewarded with gold. If you accept a referral, we will start you off at level 15, with 10 gold and a full set of green/uncommon items to get you on your way.
