Apocalypse: War
Explanation
There was an eerie slience as I got up and looked around, all I saw were bent and twisted skyscrapers, the tallest of them, The Illinois was still standing, frozen, still far above the clouds, a claw sticking out of them, pointing down at me. I looked around, seeing if anyone else was there, I saw four others, the NATO Union soldier, Anthony, part of the American Union, Pierre, part of the European Alliance, and Yamato, the woman who made most of the Super Yamato Class battleships. They were lying down next to the ruins of the Sears Tower, I was in Chicago, after the end of World War Three, after the near extinction of humanity. I am a COLP soldier, Cofederacy Of the Lower Powers. No fire, no smoke, not even dust.
World War Three started when the Soviet Union rebuilt itself and joined forces with NATO, becoming the NATO Union, the lower powers, South America, Africa, and Australia began to think that they were going to be taken over, even the remaining higher power, Japan, and even the remaining super power, Korea began to worry as well. They formed COLP, causing tension between the two powers. Europe began to stop all contact with the other powers, becoming completely independent. This caused the NATO Union to become extremely angry, to the point where the U.N was disbanded, and Europe was forced to band together to become the European Alliance to protect their factories. Then COLP began testing WMDs just in case there was an attack, the NATO Union, angry at the defiance of COLP, marched over to Mexico and tried to take it over, they were beaten back immediatly. More battles began, soon the first nuclear bomb was unleashed, right on New York City, nothing was left beside gutted skyscrapers and infected people, who began to act weird. They found out that it mutated the flu, changing it into an extremely deadly disease that turned most of the residents into a strange, emotionless, cannibals. In revenge, the NATO Union obliterated Madagascar, there is only a large memorial where it used to be. That is when World War III started, as did the beginning of the end of the world.
I ran over to Anthony and kicked him, he punched my leg and made me fall to the ground. "I'm awake! I'm awake!" Was the last thing I heard, mostly because when I fell I hit my head on the Sears Tower.
