When do you think it'll end?

When do you guys think Sonic will end, once and for all. I posted this on another site in a topic of why people are into the fandom:

I'm in Sonic solely to watch it end. Hell, I've been here since the begining, I might as well finish the movie.

It'll be marked by this next game. If it fails, Sonic dies, if it is a success, there may be hope. You don't survive eleven consecutive commercial failures and live the next day. It just doesn't work.

So, how many more games will it take?

Pssh. Sonic will NEVER die, in my opinion. There are always people who like the games, regardless of how much they fail.

Well yeah, they're always be hardcore fans like us, but I'm talking about new games. If this "Sonic Unleashed" fails, then we'll probably see little to no Sonic games in the foreseeable future. Maybe one every few years (which is really how it should be) if even that. Anyone could take the hint of that many failures in a row. Sonic would be reduced to shitty spin offs and party games.

It's never gonna end. SEGA could die, and then it'd all technically be over. But the series would constantly live on through it's fanbase in the form of furry pr0n.

Sonic won't die, aslong as they make money off the series why should they stop it? All those assholes who buy the games knowing they are bullshit just hand money to SEGA, so it won't stop until all the fanbois get it through the heads that the new games are shit. But Unleashed looks sexual, so there may be hope, but if that fails SEGA will continue with the gh3y spinoffs like Riders and all that bollox.

I hope sonic doesn't die. The series has been my favorite since I was like 6. And seeing it burn to the ground would make depressed.

I don't think it will ever end. Sega will keep making money off their games. I still think Nintendo should have bought them out when they had the chance though.

They may stop making games regularly, but it would always be picked up again now and then. Nothing short of video games in general dying would kill the series completely.
