So, I'm making a Sonic RPG with RM2k3, and I have some stuff figure out quite well.

What I don't have figured out, however, is the plot.

Alright, here's what I ask, Sonic Earth.

I need a basic plot with the following:

1 - Robotnik as the central enemy.

2 - Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Mighty as the only required party members. (Sorry, Tails stays home at the workshop).

3 - The Chaos Emeralds not being required (but are available as the rewards for various sidequests).

4 - A maximum of only 2 FedEx quests.

5 - Mecha Sonic.

6 - As little use of misc characters as possible.

As a reward for awesome suggestions, I'll throw your character in as either a helper in a skill/spell or as a party member.

But, as for some random info about the game, I've got a few tidbits I've got figured out.

CHARACTERS:

There's more than just Sonic, Shadow, Mighty, and Knuckles, but they're the only required characters, as in characters you get in the normal story. I'm also including some secret characters, you'll need to work to get those, though, but they'll be worth their trouble in the end.

ENEMIES:

Robotnik is the main antagonist here, but that's not to say that there will be others in various side quests or secret endings or anything like that. I'm planning on including Scourge, Mecha Sonic, and Mephiles, just to name a few. As for the normal enemies, I'll be using various genesis enemies and some of Rush's Eggpawns as enemies in random encounters.

ITEMS:

I have items such as Sonic's red shoes, Shadow's "Limit Rings", Knuckles' gloves, and Mighty's "Combi Ring" just to name a few items. The red shoes are obvious (and also have an upgradeable Light Dash), Shadow's "Limit Rings" are those featured in Sonic X and Sonic '06. Although they decrease Intelligence (as Chaos Attacks are Intelligence based), they increase the rest of the stats. Removing them may increase the power of Chaos attacks, but weaken everything else. Knuckles' gloves are obvious, and feature several upgrades, and Mighty's "Combi Ring" allows him to use "Limit Breakers" with other party members.

Yeah, there are other items, such as a full set of items for secret quests Enerjack, anyone? and the Chaos Emeralds, which will enable the ability to transform, but slowly drops mana. Bosses may also drop Skill Books that teach various characters different abilities such as Mecha Sonic's "Arm Cannon" teaching Sonic the "Blaster" ability

Ring Boxes replace potions, and 1-Up boxes play the role of Pheonix Downs.

SKILLS:

The abilities are obvious ones, but some are pretty creative, if I do say so myself.

Sonic starts out with the "Spin Shot" ability, where he quickly jumps into the enemy. At level 3, he learns the "Spin Charge" ability, which will raise his stats, and it stacks. He later learns abilities such as "Homing Shot," "Bounce Attack," and "Sonic Wind."

Shadow starts out with the fairly powerful "Chaos Blast." He learns more powerful versions along the way. He starts out with the "SMG" skill book which, as you could guess, teaches him the "SMG" ability. Expect Shadow to learn most moves through Skill Books named after weapons such as "Blackarms Sword," "Assault Rifle," "Beam Rifle," and more.

Knuckles starts out with the "Straight Punch" ability. All of his are pretty straight forward, and most are either combos or various punch-like attacks. Of course, he also starts with the "Glide" attack and has a "Shovel Claw" skill book. Guess what it teaches him.

Mighty has been pretty hard to figure out, skill wise. I'm thinking of just recycling the skills of others for him, save for a few helpers every once in a while (such as Espio or Ray).

So, drop me a few tips as to what the plot should be, and I'll keep updating you guys with stuff, and maybe a video by the end of the week.:)
